I’m excited to share some great responses that Loose Change (Gone Electric) has been receiving in the press since its release on 9th February 2026.

This song started as a conversation with myself about the world around me, the way our streets, our routines and even our technologies are constantly shifting. The idea came to me a few years back as I watched stories of phone thefts on e‑bikes and e‑scooters increase.

I didn’t want to write a heavy protest song.

Instead, I wanted something that was sharp, a bit playful, and rhythmically alive, a piece of music that reflects its time with a wink and a beat. I think that duality is what makes Loose Change so much fun to share.

I’ve been thrilled with the early press reaction:

Melody Arena

They described the track as a confident step into the contemporary music conversation “armed with wit, experience and sharp social observation.” They highlight how it captures modern urban anxiety without ever feeling heavy‑handed. Read it here: melodyarena.net/1547‑2

Radio Armazém (Portuguese press)

This piece talks about Loose Change as an urban chronicle, tapping into city life and the rhythms of the streets. It celebrates how the song uses its electric energy to reflect the pulse of today’s world, turning social commentary into something you can move to. Karl Is My Unkle

Another thoughtful take calls the track a cultural zeitgeist moment, praising how it blends lived experience with a dynamic sound rooted in daily life but driving forward with pulse and groove. That sense of presence of capturing what now feels like is something I really leaned into on this one. This release feels like one of those moments where everything I’ve learned, from recording on a tape‑to‑tape eight track in my twenties, to rediscovering a passion for writing with digital tools, comes together in a piece that’s both grounded and electric.

Loose Change (Gone Electric) is out now via Ditto Music and available across streaming platforms. If you haven’t already, give it a listen whether you’re out on the street, at home, or just pausing for a moment.

Thanks for listening and sharing the journey
